INTRODUCING BORRO 1

Borro started from frustration. Frustrations with reuse systems that look good on paper but break down in the real world. Too slow. Too complex. Too expensive. We believe it can be different. After a year of building, learning, and refining, we’re releasing our first product - ready for launch across stadiums, venues, and events all over Europe.

Why reuse fails, and how we fix it
A shift is happening.  Across festivals, stadiums and venues, single-use cups are being replaced by reusable ones.

Driven by regulation?

Yes, but also by a growing public awareness that it’s time to do things differently.

Switching to reuse is easy on paper, but hard in practice.

Most systems are clunky:
Manual return points.
Token-based refunds.
Long queues.
Extra staff.

The result?
Poor return rates.
Frustrated users.
Reusables that don’t get reused.

We looked at the landscape and saw two simple truths:
1
Reuse only works if it’s effortless
2
Reuse only scales if it’s affordable

Most systems overcomplicate.
They create friction where there should be none.

We do it differently - by keeping things radically simple.

These partners helped us launch Borro 1.

When the right people work together, you get a system that feels natural to the end user. “The best thing about Borro is that you don’t even notice it,” someone told us recently. That is exactly what we’re aiming for.

To make reuse work at scale, we need a connected chain. That’s why we’re always looking for new partners, from payment providers and POS systems to cup producers and logistics.
